David Dowies, Principal Broker, B.S.

Investment & REO Specialist

David Dowies is Principal Broker/Owner of Portfolio Realty Solutions.  With more than 13 years of real estate experience and over 300 transactions completed, David uses his wealth of knowledge to ensure the financial success of his clients.

Soon after beginning his real estate career in 2004, David joined ReMax where he started two successful real estate companies and also managed REO properties for several bank clients.  Never one to stop advancing, David has continuously expanded his knowledge of the Virginia real estate industry through ongoing training, seminars, coursework and lectures.  In 2009, David acquired his Broker’s license and founded the real estate brokerage Portfolio Realty Solutions.

David received both his high school and college education in Northern Virginia.  He graduated from the School of Management at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia; where he obtained degrees in Business Management and Information Technology.

Throughout his real estate career, David has attained an impressive number of titles, awards, designations and accolades. He is a graduate of the Default School; and holder of the REO Default Certified Professional (RDCPro™) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designations.  David is a HUD listing and selling Broker, listing Broker for the U.S. Marshals (USMS), and is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR), and Real Estate Buyer’s Agency Council (REBAC).  In 2014, David was awarded NVAR Lifetime Top Producer putting him in the top 1% of Realtors nationwide in sales volume.

David holds a Broker’s license in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and is passionate about investing in local communities to transform blighted properties into beautiful gems.  David has distinguished himself among his peers by identifying creative solutions to complex real estate transactions.  He is wholly dedicated to provided second-to-none service and expertise to each and every client.

Jackie Miller (Inman), Realtor®, B.B.A.

Jackie grew up in Charlottesville, VA.  After graduating from Radford University with a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing, she moved to Northern Virginia where she gained 10+ years of valuable experience as a mortgage lender for First Savings Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.  Using this as a springboard and leveraging additional past work experiences, Jackie soon realized her passion for real estate and soon became a Realtor servicing Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Jackie’s expertise on mortgage lending enables her to provide clients with a smooth and seamless home buying process from start to finish.  As a result, she is able to save her clients valuable time and money, which is priceless.

With over 14 years of real estate experience, Mark has extensive knowledge of new construction homes, sales and marketing, negotiations and home buyer representation.  As an family man and active member of the community, Mark knows and understands the benefits that come with living in Northern Virginia.  His intimate knowledge of the area and the Virginia real estate market serves as a great asset to his clients.

Tyler Freiheit, Realtor®, B.A.

Tyler Freiheit Portfolio Real Estate Aquisition ManagerA native of Northern Virginia, Tyler earned a B.A. degree from Clemson University in Communications, with minors in Business and Information Technology. When Tyler isn’t sharing his thoughts as a proficient real estate “blogger”, he’s specializing home buyer representation, new construction sales, short sales and foreclosure properties. He has a passion for helping people and is equipped with a plethora of knowledge and professionalism in the real estate industry. With a remarkable attention to detail and a drive for results, he is able to provide superior service in all aspects of residential real estate.

Tyler worked for ReMax for several years before joining Portfolio Realty Solutions. Prior to his career in real estate, Tyler worked for Wachovia Bank at their headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina as a manager for the Corporate Sales department. He played a lead role in the merger with SouthTrust and Golden West Banks, resulting in enhancements of market presence, product set and mix of businesses. The merger enabled Wachovia to deliver a stronger value proposition for their customers and shareholders.

Greatest Accomplishment: Tyler has bicycled across the United States from San Francisco, California to Charleston, South Carolina raising funds (over $400,000) and awareness on behalf of Americans with disabilities. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, coaching volleyball, traveling, writing, and spending time with his family.
