Scheduling a Showing
Timing
You will usually get plenty of notice about an appointment request.
However, some buyers may ask to view your home as soon as possible. In this case, a showing would take place within an hour or so. If a buyer requests a change to a showing time, you’ll be given as much notice as possible.
The Showing
If you are not on hand during a showing, the cooperating associate will enter your home using the electronic lockbox we place on your property. If you are available, sales associates will introduce themselves and give you their business card.
Special Instructions
Any special instructions you give to us, such as information on pets, parking or security, will be listed in your property file and Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and thoroughly explained to the sales associate who requested the showing.
Privacy
The fewer people around during a showing, the better. It’s best to allow the potential buyer to roam freely and discuss the home with the sales associate without interruption.
Unscheduled Appointments
Ask any people who show up to view your property without an appointment to call us to schedule a showing. Even if the person tells you they are a real estate agent, an appointment request should be made first through your Realtor to ensure the security and safety of your family and home.
